Sheared rear swaybar end links

I noticed this morning, that both of my rear Maxxlink swaybar end links were snapped. What would cause this? About the heaviest thing I tow is a bass boat. I installed these links in 07/09 and put 21k miles on them.

may just be the pic but the end in the first pic looks like it has been "heated"

weight shouldn't be as mauch a factor as cornering or negoiating difficult terrian putting the sway bar in a bind...kinda crazy that the ends would just "pop off" but that looks like what happened

ouch, these are supposed to be top of the line ones. I think I'll save my money for something else.

dodge carivan 1996 swaybar links cut in 1/2 and the truck stud end welded on to the carivan end.... works perfect and total expense was 50$ and about 1hr of my time to make 4 swaybar links

The links have not been heated. After looking a little closer at the sheared ends, it looks like one side snapped a while back. It had quite a bit of rust. The other side had very little rust, which tells me it snapped recently.

Larry at suspensionmaxx has been very helpful and is sending me a new set of links. He is even custom making them a little longer since I have a slight rear lift after installing the Carli Starter System (1-1/8 higher). He also said they have improved the design of the links. I would not have a problem purchasing these links again. The customer service alone is worth the purchase.
