Lower rear shock bolt sheared!

Anyone know where to get the (lower spring bracket with stud, rear axle) - as called by my 93 FSM. This is the bracket which the lower shock eye bolts to. It appears that the lower shock bolt (D70) bracket, also retains the rear leaf spring u bolts? This is on my 93 W250, rear axle D70. I was going to replace the rear shocks this weekend. I used my impact gun to remove the rusted nuts, on the lower shock bolt, and the last 1/2" of the bolt with nut sheared off (on the left side shock) These brackets are so rusted, I figured I would replace them. I am guessing I will have to go to my local Dodge dealer? TIA!

I will check tomorrow to see if it is a seperate bolt or one piece, either way I have some of each if you need.

I had the same problem, and was unable to find a cheap replacement. If you have a welder, or know someone who does, you can fix it. Just cut off the stud, then get a grade 5 or 8 bolt the same size as the stud you cut off. Take the bolt and cut the head off then taper it with a grinder for full weld penetration. tack it straight, then weld it on. Did mine two years ago, have no problems. hope this helps.

Emoo60,
I was thinking of doing the same fix I figured it would be a "hard to get" part! I will have to take it to a welder, as I only have my old Miller Buzz box, and haven't stick welded in quite a spell Thanks for the input!

Got a chance to look at my parts truck today and it looks like the shock stud is just welded in from the back and around the front as well, then the washer, shock, washer, nut. If you would rather replace and cant find at the dealer let me know and I will pull these off.
