when I swapped the seats in my truck, I just hooked that wire off the ignition so they just unlocked when the key was on which was annoying at times

 

thatll work too, I didnt have a test light handy, and this was a heck of alot easier. Drove around town today and seatbelts work great, and no light on the dash, WIN!

 

another update, been going since great, way easier than jumping the wires and other bs, no dash lights on, no dead battery.

 

@Deezil I'm trying to do this right now. I got the box open and am looking at the plastic box with the steel ball in it. Was going to try to remove the ball, but cant see a way to open the small plastic ball box without breaking it. When you say you cut that piece off do you mean the black plastic lever that sticks out of the box and moves up and down with the steel ball movement? Sorry if a dumb question. Just don't want to mess anything up. Thanks!
