Seatbelts stuck

I had all 4 doors open for a while today to vacuum out the truck etc, and tried to pull out the drivers side front seatbelt to untwist it. It locked up. I fooled with it, pulled the plastic grommet thing out of the head rest to look at the winder inside, could NOT get it unstuck. **** thing. So then I tried the passenger side, out of curiosity. Stuck. ***? I put the key in and started the truck, let it run about 5 seconds, both belts work fine. What do you think is the deal? Some kind of electronic actuator or something?

Yes.
I believe it's under the center front seat.

It's main purpose is to lock the belts if you're in an accident.

Why having the doors open for a while would activate it, I don't know, unless current draw plays a factor on when they lock?

Mine has done it a couple times as well. Normally letting it sit overnight
always worked for mine.

I think Phox is right on the module. I thought it was only like a one year deal. Unplug the module and plug it back in. It will often "reset" it.
