Sagging door
Sagging door
I have noticed that my drivers side door is sagging just a hair. When shutting it, before it latches, i can hear something barely rubbing. Also i noticed the gap on the front side of the door seems barely wider than the gap on the passenger side. I have lifted the door when it is open, and i cant tell if i am picking it up at all.
Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the door, or anything i can do to try to pick up the door approximately 1mm?
Thanks, Dean

Generally the pins get worn in the hinges. I think there is some adjustment, but it probably won't help for long. You can open the door and use a piece of 2x4 and a jack to lift up on the back end of the door. Also search for replacing hinges, lots of info.
It sounds like you need your door pins and shimes replaced. Any boby shop can do it. You probably could do it yourself if you have a way to hold the door up while you take the pins out. I had mine done and I think it was a $60 fix.
autozone, pep boys or anywhere, they will not have the correct pins for teh doors. IIRC the ones that work are off an S10 chevy pickup, again i didnt even try it, I wound up buying new door hinges off the dealership, not the wisest choice, but i got tired of messin around...
