sagging door
Alright guys...i need some desperate help and fast! I know you guys can help me out...i have faith in you!
ok. here it is: my drivers door is out of alignment. Not just in need of a new pin, but it is also starting to tear the metal onthe door away from the hinge! I took it to a body shop and they said it would be better for me to buy a replacement door and do all the work myself and then have them paint it! Heck, I don't have time for all of this let alone to put it in the shop for a couple of days to get painted! I work for myself, and my backup truck is already being used by one of my guys. I am wondering whatI should do. Should I have a welder just weld the hinge back on to the door? or should I have him weld a plate behind the hinge and to the door? I am totally at a loss here and need help! Please someone?

I recently had the same problem on my 93'. I took the door off and welded the hinge to the door. The metal on the door is very thin, so it melted immediately. under that metal is a large brace, i ended up tacking the hinge to that. It looks "great" with some paint, and is a great conversation starter.
