Replacement Upolstery '98 Dead Naugas
Replacement Upolstery '98 Dead Naugas
My '98.5 is getting tired in the seats. The drivers mostly of course. It hasn't split but there's a lot of cracking and wear. My problem is that this is a daily driver. I really can't afford a lot of downtime. Does anyone do a replace/repair exchange? I just have the black vinyl or Naugahide (lots of dead naugas!) seats. The standard 40-60 bench. The framework and even the cushion of mine are pretty good but the surface is going. Can anyone offer suggestions?
Thanks,
Thanks,
Just run to your local upholstery shop and see what they can quote you. Price all depends on material and the complexity of the seat. Any decent upholstery shop should be able to knock out a pair of seats in a day or two, especially if the foam is in decent shape.
It's either that, or, hit up the salvage yards for some wrecked trucks, maybe 3rd gen seats? I don't even know what they look like, but anyway...you might be able to find a nice set of 2nd or 3rd gen seats with low miles.
