power steering leaking on 2001

Has anybody had a leaky power steering box on their 2001. Mine put a pool
of fluid in my driveway the diameter of a basketball. Now It just leaks alittle,
but will not stop after putting Lucas stop leak in it. I can't find where its leaking from.

any ideas?

Im kind of new to this so I may be wrong but I think it could be the vaccum pump also. Im not saying that is what you have leaking but it may be a possibility.

put a catch bucket under it, see if it's power steering fluid or engine oil.

usually the vacum pump will leak engine oil. (do a search on repair).

the power steering box can leak, also the power steering lines.

I knew it was something like that. The two are real close together aren't they?

Vacuum pump seal is really common failure. From what I've been reading its a cheap repair but a bit of a PITA to do.

thanks for the help all... I do know that its not engine oil and that it is
power steering fluid. The vacum hose or the seal sounds like what i have going. I love the PITA reference...looks like I will be havin some messy fun this weekend.

thanks...
