The Plastic Cover on the Tailgate?

You know, that lower plastic cover that covers half the tailgate....If I pull it off, is there holes underneth or is Sticky Tape holding it on?

Thanks
Rick

I replaced my tailgate recently I used aheat gun to remove it and "goo be gone" to clean up old tape. Do it outside it stinks. If you are replacing it be sure to use the good 3M two sided tape. The cheep stuff came off in two weeks. D.C.

If I recall there are holes under the plastic that are used for the marker lights on 3500 trucks.
At least the holes were there when I added markers to my 2500.
