Paint and not just your normal glossy paint job

I finally had the opportunity to get my truck repainted. For some of you, the outcome may seem shocking and unfinished....well, yes, it is finished, just not your standard "gloss" factory "pretty" paint. After returning from a trip out west visiting the city w/big hotels, I embarked on 8+hrs of sanding the very next morning. I looked into so many different types of satin paint, my eyes began to glaze over. I decided on SEM Hot Rod Black Satin. No, it's not perfect, I didn't repair every ding or dent (it's a truck and I use it) but I dig the "new to me ride"!!!

waiting on the admin to "approve" photos and I'll post them

Technically, it's satin but yes, most will describe it that way. 10x better than the flaking factory paint

I can't argue that. The clear coat is going south on my 04, I'm not happy.

Honestly, I just wanted something completely different and am very satisfied on how it turned out. It kinda helped to have a friend that owns a paint shop and does nothing but paint for ups, enterprise, coca cola, etc. otherwise, I prob wouldn't have done it right now.
