overheating tranny 01 dodge!

46re overheating transmission after we cleaned the valve body, installed new electronics and filter-fluid flush, the transmission will get hot every now and then, not all the time, just whenever it wants to. the fluid will not circulate through the coolers, we have blew through all the coolers backwards and foreward, i think there is a check ball somewhere inline that is plugging it up, but he has never had an overheating issue before! why would cleaning the valve body and installing new sensors fluid filter aggrevate this problem? nothing in the tranny seemed to be gunked up or nasty.

the transducer(I believe) has the tranny temp sender built in, is possible you have a bad sender, try putting your old one back in

would a bad tranny temp sensor cause the tranny to stop sending fluid to the cooler and make the tranny get so hot that if you spit on it it sizzles and you can hear the oil boiling inside??

and sometimes the truck can be driven all day long with no overheating problems, when it sends fluid to the cooler, it flows out at a rate of about a gallon every 15 seconds, it will fill a gallon jug in no time! but when it doesnt send fluid to the cooler, theres NOTHING zero flow. neutral, drive, reverse, no flow what so ever
