Overhead console map lights
Great News !!
I've been a little busy lately, but the two switches I ordered from Digi-Key arrived a couple weeks ago and guess what...
They were a PERFECT replacement for the stock overhead console light switches. Of course I had to cut the old ones off and splice in the new.
I couldn't be happier. Aside from shipping costs ($7.00), it was a $4.32 fix ! We all know how expensive these trucks can be, so it was nice to fix something perfectly for such a small cost.
Take a look at the pictures I uploaded ~
I plan on calling Digi-Key and ordering about 4 more so I have em the next time my wife clicks the overhead light too hard, lol.

this does not look like my console. Mine is 2005. What year is yours. Mine has quad cab not sure if that makes a difference. I wired in new switches coping wires from old switch left to right, but the light does not come on when clicked. Light comes on when door opens and when turned on by dimmer job on dash. Any ideas why? Any help greatly appreciated.

I also matched the three wires I thought. One black to ground and so on. I appreciate the help for sure
Thanks ABRNRNGR13
I'm going to order the Judco part that you recommended. Drivers side broke, I pulled console and switch tonight. After reading these forums I'll replace both. Did ithe Judco body actually snap into place like the factory ones do? I appreciate the wiring pictures as well.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Switches from amazon
The switches are available from Amazon and are much like the stock ram stuff, , as is the entire wiring harness, prices are all over the place depending who it is from, I should add that there are two types of wiring harness, the one pictured is with out the digital readout, (temp, fuel, engine time etc), the harness for for overhead including the digital readout has an additional thin flat connector for the readout.
