does anyone know what year the OBDII came out on the 2nd gen's?

I think 97 an older is OBDI and 98 and newer is OBDII

If you buy a tool, make sure it will read diesel trucks. I bought a cheapy one from Mac tools and it will only read gas powered trucks.

1996 and newer vehicles all have the OBDII connector. There were even a few 95 vehicles that had it. None of them were Dodge by the way.
