Noisy Steering pump

Since it's been getting cold out (11 deg) overnight, my PS pump is making plenty of noise. It sounds like a FORD PS pump! I can't stand it!

Level is good, and the sound doesn't go away until temp has been at 190 for 10-15 mins.

Anyone make a PS fluid heater? Is there an additive that will help with this?

Thanks,
Mike

I know what you mean Mike. It got down to -2* the other day and mine was REALLY loud. Wonder if a good synthetic would help?
Oh yeah... How are you liking the great NW?

Re:Noisy Steering pump

I've een having the same conversaton on the other site.
A few guys, as well as myself, have come to the conclusion that it is moisture in the PS fluid.
A PS fluid change with some good fluis should fix it. Royal Purple Max something was a recommended fluid.
