Just wanted to get your opinions. I dont remeber hearing this before, but upon turning the key and waiting for the WTS light, I can hear my fuel pump clanking away. I dont rmember hearing it before. Do you guys hear yours? Also, I have read a few posts on lift pump failure and upgrade, does this apply to 04.5's? Thanks guys.

 

the failures are occuring with them all especially if BOMBED. the pump should sound like a buzz, if it sounds different something is wrong.

 

Ya it sounds like an RV water pump some mornings. Other days I dont even hear it. Maybe I will have them take a listen when I take it in for the vibe @70. Thanks.

 

Turn your key on off 3 times...see if you get a p0628 code...it never turns on the check engine light . = lift pump crapping out.
