Hey there. So I have a 1996 dodge 2500 12 valve. When I got it the running lights were not working nor were the dash lights. Figured out that if I pull the light switch out just a little ( not all the way ) the running lights and dash lights worked. Well today I did this and after about 2 mins of run time my running lights stopped working and the dash kept flashing on and off. Also found out that the fuse for " Park lamp " #18 15amp was blown and the trailer relay kept clicking on and off as the dash lights went on and off. I swapped out the fuse worked for about 5 mins and then boom fuse blew again. Swapped the fuse once more and it instantly blew as soon as the turned the dash lights on ( dash lights kept flickering on and off ) any help diagnosing this would be appreciated.

 

It maybe a bad headlight switch. I would pull it an check for melting and signs of it getting hot.

 

yes I dud that last night and noticed it was definitely getting warm
