OK....that makes sense. The MAP sensor gets it's signal directly off the manifold. The MBC wouldn't work well on it's own.

Are there stand alone boost foolers to keep the fuel up with increased boost? Is a fueling box (edge etc.) the name of the game?

Yes you can get a stand alone boost fooler. Try bd power i think they make one, us diesel parts has had them in the past also. The fooler will help you lower the egt with a boost elbow (turnbuckle for the 01/02 auto). If you want to add more performance look at the edge ez or whatever brand you choose. I have had the ez for 2 years no problems and love it ;D.
