New rims for dually
You guys that have new wheels for your dually did you also change the inner rear wheels too? If i get new wheels I might as well get wider rims, like 8 inches, but than I would think I'd have to get a new inner wheel too. Does anyone sell wider inner rear wheels? Truck is a 97.Thanks

If you try to go much wider with the rims, you might run into clearance problems both between the rim/tire and the leaf spring, and the clearance between the tires themselves.
Spacers might compensate some, but put a lot of load on the wheel studs.

I've seen some dually's with wide tires and when I talk to the guys or just looking at them they have spacers to avoid the problems. If you get the same style wheel on the inside dual then you can rotate all of your tires. I've just got 4 of the fancy wheels and 2 plane steel wheels. The steel wheels are rated for more load than the aluminum so it's nice to have them on the back of my pig.
