neutral safety switch

I have 99 dodge 3500 dullay. sometimes when I try to start it with my remote, everything goes through it's cycle, the lights come on the radio is on,all the gauges work but the truck is not running. I turn the key off,and try to start it with the key, nothing.I move the shift selector around and the truck starts.Sometimes I try to start the truck without the remote, and it wont crank untill I move the shift selector.

I think there is an adjustment when it not getting directly in the Park position.

My truck did the same thing. I replaced the Neutral Safety Switch. It started right up. However, from time to time it won't start unless I put it in Park. Then it starts every time. I don't think I needed the NSS I just need to make an adjustment. I haven't done it 'cause it only happens once in every 20 (or so) starts.

The switch is located on the driver side of the transmission. It's at an angle with an electrical connection with (I think) three wires. The FSM tells how to test the switch, and I have the manual, but I just purchased a new one knowing it would be taken care of. Seems like the price was like $40 +/- at the dealer.

The adjustment I need to make, I haven't done and need to look at the book to tell you. Sorry.

I'll try to take a look soon and post if no one else jumps on here.

I'm having this same issue. Any more thoughts would be appreciated.
