Adjust the Neutral Safety Switch on an AT?

My reverse lights won't stay on unless I pull up on the shifter. I figure I should adjut the neutral safety switch, as historically, on other vehicles, I have been able to do this to fix the problem.
My neutral part of the switch works properly. Truck starts fine in Park or Neutral. I have looked at what I believe is the switch, in the tranny case toward the rear of the shifter linkage, but don't know what to adjust, or if it is possible. It appears to be like a sending unit, and screwed tight into the tranny case. I can't see a way to adjust it.

Is this one of those parts you just have to replace, or can it be adusted?

Thanks,
Chris

There is no adjustment except the linkage to make the starter engage in only P or N. If your starting part of the system is working ok the problem is the switch.
