need a back window...

I was out , offroad, and well, ended up breaking the right most pain of glass in my slider back window. Looked at the power sliders, but 400$....really?

And cant even seem to find a regular window. Can the one pain be fixed? Its not part of the slider.

I would say check with local glass shops and see what they say as far as replacement on just the single. I think www.lmctruck has them dont know if you can order just the single. also not all back windows were the same tint from factory.

the middle movable piece can be replaced by itself.the two outer section's are bonded to the frame of the backglass.your whole slider will have to be replaced.
trust me when i tell you, they don't come out easy.i've been an autoglass tech for many year's and would recommend you have a reputable glass company do it.they are very pricey for a factory safeguard piece.
good luck

Can you get one out without breaking it? I haul crushed cars part time and get in wrecking yards pretty regular during the summer. I have been looking for a slider for mine. Once we get the rig to crush it's ours and we can pull some parts if we want. Looks like it's glued in and won't come out easily.

well I live 3 1/2 hours south of you and have family in La center. I have a slider on mine if you have a solid window and if they were a direct replacement and it was a easy swap I would with you. well when its not rainy cold and snowy.

the only way to get one out without breaking it,is by heating up the pinchwell with a torch on the inside.this will cause the urethane to release from the metal.the only problem with this on a ram,is the slider is a plastic bonded part.which mean's it could be damaged in the process.also not a good idea for the truck it's getting pulled out of.

Thanks. I pretty much figured it might be something like that. So probably, if I absolutely had to have a slider, about the only good way to get one is have a glass shop do it?

Small world. Although I am from and grew up in OR (Sauvies Island) my mother grew up in La Center and I have relatives currently living there from the OTHER side of the family. I have hauled some from around Roseburg and just spoke with my pard in crime and he says we are moving a crusher to Sutherlin sometime this week. If you see a black sleeper Pete following a white Volvo towing a big orange car press, that would be us. I'll be in the Pete.

I had mine changed yesterday, to a non slider. I figured I only used it about 10 times in 10 years....so why? I like the one piece better I think anyways. Better vision. $225 installed.
