Unhappy More help please it wasn't the window switch

Morning folks,
OK changing out the passenger window switch was a four minute job. But seems this is not the issue. Rats! Double Rats.
Symptoms
Passenger lock works fine window switch easily for down. Then complete issues for up. connection is being over heated at some point in the action.
Driver switches work for driver window and for door lock only.
Both driver and passenger switches will easily get passenger window down. Then getting it back up another issue!! Takes trying switch while gripping glass and pulling up and even then takes many tries and 20 minutes to get up. For now. Even this action is degrading in performance.
Thinking will need to take off complete door panel and trace wiring and HOPE to find issue, crack, break in wiring in easy access place!!
Again any help suggestions much welcomed.

On mine I unplugged ALL the switches and checked wires for continuity and shorts to each other and to truck chassis. Found one bad wire that had chaffed at door hinge point inside the rubber tube. Ran a new wire and replaced a flakey switch. Also had to replace a door lock actuator to get all back to good.

1st check grounds , with DC motors [ window ] , the switches reverse the volt to get motor to run in both directions .
So when doing the check , remember what was pos. in one direction is neg. in the other .
With the slow moving window , grounds are my 1st look , but having some of the strands of wire break inside the insulation happens at the door jamb .

Might be the motor. It take more force to raise than to lower.

Sounds like the motor. I just did one the the other day. Can you keep bumping the switch and it will go up a little? That is what mine was doing and then it stopped all together. The motor and track was about $89 and took about 1/2 hour to install.
