More Brake Problems

I was under my truck and saw just a slight amount of oil on the backing plate on the right rear. I pulled the drum and the shoes were totaly soaked with oil. I went to my neighborhood NAPA and picked up the best rear shoes that they had and new seals, and a socket for the hub nut. Got home and everything went good, 2 1/2 cans of brake clean and a couple of hours later I thought I was done. I held my foot on the pedal and guess what- My foot slowly went to the floor. Now I need a master cylinder. Does anybody know about how much they cost? I already spent $150 on the other parts. I guess that I should be glad that I'm not on a trip somewhere. The truck does stop a lot better with the new shoes on though.
Tom

Re:More Brake Problems

If you have an Auto Zone or Pep Boys near you check with them for the master cylinder. One or the other usually has them with a lifetime warranty. So even if you pay a high price you'll never pay it again. That's what I do. Then I just have to keep up with the receipt. :

Chris
