Module Locations
Module Locations
I'm having problems with my truck and need to start eliminating things.. I've been told to unhook the different modules. Here's the problem.. Where Are they all located? Anybody know of a diagram to show me this? The other thing is how many grounds are there and where are they all located. I've found 4. Please help!
What problems are you having?
When "they" tell you to remove modules, "they" are usually referring to power adding modules.
Unhooking things like the PCM and ECM would be bad, unless you were just unhooking them to clean them, then hooking them back up.

Look in the Help section. I've been dealing with an electrical gremlin for some time now. And the modules " they " were talking about were things like CTM, PCM, ECM... I know where the ecm & pcm are but the rest I'm lost!
there are some behind the instrument panel hopefully its not the instrument panel it self that is going out. i tell you man we where having the EXACT EXACT EXACT SAME NO DIFFERENT problems and i just had the dealer fix mine and it was the ctm before they diagnosed it the only thing else they said it could be besides a ground and they said the ground was not likely but in your case it may be since it only happens every once in a while where as mine when it happened it didn't restore would be the instrument panel and they are around a $1000 and take a few days to get in because they have to have the mileage burned in. just trying to save you some time trouble shooting ITS YOUR CTM. post back the results once your fix it by replacing the ctm
