Michelin Commercial tires?

A few weeks ago on some site or other, someone
posted photo's and info on a couple Michelin Commercial tires.

Don't know if it was here or not, but anybody have any
info or thoughts?

Thanks.

Personally I like the XL and XML. Unfortunately the XML are all too tall, but the XLs are great. Check the "long haul" section for street/towing. I didn't look through them, so I don't know if there are any 16" in there.

Another option for duallies is the all-steel construction Michelin XPS Rib and/or XPS Traction.

I agree

i like all of them, but the fact that they have a 62 mph top speed limit kinda kills it, i also assume that they are very heavy tires, and are also very rough riding... I dunno if id go as far to get those for a daily driver, but for a farm truck.. theyd be great...

62 MPH? The Michelin XPS Rib appears to be Q-rated and good for 100 MPH.

I think he was referring to the XL and XML. Yea, they are nothing you would want to run on the road very far with...thats why I aimed him toward the "long haul" section for highway tires. I like the rugged, military look of the XLs. I have talked to people who run them on Unimogs, and they wear quite well for an agressive-looking tire. I was sorry to see the low speed rating, but maybe I'll get a set someday to use as a second set of tires when I'm towing. I'd never get above 65 around here anyway...closest interstate is over an hour away.

I get double the mileage on the xps rib tires as any other tire I have tried. I took the last rear set off afteer 130,000, pretty well down though. With the weight I pull the best before them was 60,000.

Thanks. I think those XPS were the tires I saw before.
Just wanted to have half an idea if I go into the "real"
tire store.

Also looking at Firestone Transform (?), found online for
$100 each +20 ship.

And leaning back toward swapping over the little used
Michelin LTX 235/85's I've got on the now sitting F250.
Looks like I'd lose an inch of tread each and up to 800
pounds capacity over both. Only need (would use) on
rear, and they did ok for my needs on the Ford.
That, and I'd really hate to see them just
drive away when I sell it.

Thanks again.
