Arrow MBRP Muffler driving me crazy

Well I have had my MBRP 4" system for a couple of years now, and I just can't stand the noise any more. It seems to have gotten louder over the years, and it is now driving me crazy.

I need suggestions for a 4" muffler that will quiet this thing down. My EGT's never go over 1000 even when towing. I have RV275's and a smarty and that's pretty much it. Not a hot rod, just a daily driver that I spend about 3 hours a day in.

Has anyone changed out their muffler for something quieter? What have you used?

I've heard great things about Donaldson mufflers being quiet. What type of exhaust is it.....duals or single? My brothers MBRP dual muffler is cracked on both sides.

I have a magna flow and its as quiet as stock, I wish it was a tad louder, the freaking thing is long, you would think as a straight thru muffler it would be noisy,
I think you can get a muffler from them faily cheap, I paid 366$ delivered to my door in Canada 2 yrs ago, I got it from Hottexhaust

It is a single pipe 4" kit I got off of e-bay a few years ago.

I thought about buying an extra muffler, and just putting two in line, so I am not opposed to one long one, but $366 is kind of steep for just the muffler. The Quiet as stock does sound nice though hehehehehe.

This is one of the Donaldsons everyone is putting on. This is the 4" one.

Most people put the 5" one on with 2-5"x4" reducers. It is suppossed to be quiet as stock with a nice sound to it.
Heres the 5" one.

My bad, that was 366$ for the complete exhaust system from turbo to tail pipe!

Never heard an MBRp , Donaldson, or Magna on a truck so I have no comparison, but My Volant sounds nice- no drone, just a little louder than stock ( I think- it was several years with no muffler after the factory one rotted away..). I can talk outside the truck without shouting...
And it's shiny...

Just a quick update, I LOVE the Donaldson! It quieted down the truck and killed the drone. Wife still hates the truck hehehe, but it is MUCH better than the muffler that came with the MBRP kit. I am a happy camper now.

Thanks for suggesting it.
