Lukes Link for tierod ends

I'm on my second Napa tie rod end (pass. side outer) in probably 4000-5000miles, and this ones shot already. they're sealed units, and they keep pushing the grease outta the seal. this one I even drilled a hole in the bottom and put a grease fitting in it, and its shot in probably 1000-1500miles. So, i think I might try a lukes link on it, that way its cheaper #1, and #2, I don't have to replace the tie rod end and mess with the alignment at all. My question is, are the lukes links for the trackbars the same as the ones for the tie rod ends? my buddy has one for a trackbar that he got incase one of our buddys with a dodge could use it, just wondering if this will work?

According to their site it's all the same for the CTD:

I've installed one on my pass. side tie rod end. I don't know if they'll work on NAPA tres but according to the manual you can download they should work.

anyone else know for sure? I called around to a couple garages today that I know have installed them before, and they didn't even know they made them for the tie rod ends, but I know i've seen them.

Yes they are all the same. When I ordered mine there were no different part #s to pick, they are all alike when they showed up and I installed them in no particular order.

I'm with AlpineRAM in that I am not sure if they'll work on a Napa track bar. Might be the MOOG bar if there is a difference.

Its the moog bar that they wont work with, but I've got a 3rd gen bar, so I'm not worried about that. I just need something for my pass. side tie rod end.

I just can't see how those links fit in there where the tie rod ends are. That plate that protects the backside of the rotor just seems to be in the way.

The same link fits all the joints. kbrashears is correct in the clearance behind the disk brake. A slight tweak of roughly 1/8" is required above and below the Luke's Link to keep the back plate off of the rotor. Mine's has been this way for 75k miles and all is good.

Mine were wearing enough to be rebuilt at 125k miles. That was after using several of the additional washers to take up the slop.

I traded the pickup off instead of rebuilding them.

Then karma....the current rig is now getting a little slop in the steering, so I'll be ordering up 4.
