Lights staying on
Lights staying on
Hey guys,My lights (high beam) are staying on.Would that be the mf switch under the stearing wheel or would that be a relay under the hood? If it's under the hood UH could you tell me where to find it . Thanks
speaking of head lights, what's the cheapest easiest way to get more light out of my lights?

Pull the plug on it!
As for cheap way to better lights, we have been batting around the wiring harness upgrade in the Alberta Chapter forums and there was a nice writeup posted about building your own heavy duty harness with relays for upgrading.

Try this...Its not much work to do this....Remove your dash bezzel and remove the headlight switch.....That should shut the lights off...if it does it could be the switch...If not then we have different problem...
When i installed the four light system, i put the red power wire on the positive posts on batteries and the ground i put to a fender bolt Should I have put the ground on the negative battery posts?
Well i worked on it tonight. Unplugged all switches, lights stayed on. I found right headlight fuse burnt. I pushed in new fuse and presto, lights went out with headlight switch. Than one relay on headlight conversion started to smoke. I pulled off conversion harness and put one bulb back on each side and plugged in with original harness. Works perfect. Now i am wondering why my conversion relays for the 4 bulb system get so hot. Does anyone have any ideas? When i was on the road last week, the right battery started to boil. I unhooked itand drove homewith the left battery only, about 350 miles. Could i have done some damage to truck?
Yes when I found it was $150 I went no way...Here is what I did...These daylight driving boxes are all the same on all dodge and plymouths and it does not matter if its a car or mini van..The same goes for the headlight switch. My headlight came out of a 1988 Chyslar. If you guys ever have to replace these components,go to your local self serve auto wreakers and remove yourselfs..Two bolts for the module and three screws for the light switch....Here is the good part....I paid $5 for the module and $3 for the switch...I was raise in SASK...so I'm cheap...
