Question Leaking rear window

I finally found out where the water is leaking into my truck. The floor on the drivers side was wet from where the parking brake cable goes through the floor all the way to the back. I took out the back seat and the rear side panels and found the water is dripping from the drivers side bottom of the rear window rubber. I was thinking I would wait untill it was all dry and try to squeeze some sealant under the lip on the outside of the rubber. I would like to keep it as invisable as possible.

Sound like a good idea? Any better ways to seal the rubber? If it matters it is a rear slider but the leak seems to be coming from around the outside not from the sliding part.

Thanks for any ideas!!

The third brake light/bed light gasket is famous for leaking also. I've also noticed that my slider will leak a little when I have the 5er hooked up. It leaks where the two halves meet,,, up at the top. apparently the air pushes the water up under the rubber flap at the top.

I checked the rear light and it looked ok but I made a new gasket with some closed cell foam tape anyway. It rained hard last night and I can see the water leaking in from the top corner of the rear window, the rubber sticks out about a 1/4" from the cab. I put some tape over the corner of the rubber and the leak stopped. I guess it's off to the auto glass place.
