Keyless Remote
I just bought a 2002 dodge 2500 4x4 with all the power options and it did not come with a keyless remote. did not all of them have them or did mine just not come with one? and can i get another and program it my self?

My 'Build Sheet' from Dodge (for 2002 Laramie) lists Power Door Locks as Optional? Does not say anything about keyless remote but I would think one would come with the other??
If you have power door locks.... there are fairly inexpensive remote systems that give you remote start, turbo shut down timer, keyless entry and basic security system!

You can get the basic keyless entry remote from Dodge if you have power locks (roughly $50 each). Or you can get the keyless entry, remote start, turbo timer, etc. one (a good one for $400).

I Have The Same Delima. It Seems That U Must Pay For 1 Hr Service Labor For The Dealer To Program The New Remote. I Have Purchased A New Keyfob And Have Not Had It Programmed Yet. Let Me Know If You Find Out Anything Where You Can Program It Yourself. I Was Told By The Dodge Tech That You Must Have A Computer That Can Access The Theft Section Of The Trucks Computer To Program A New Remote.

For the keyless remote, you can take your VIN # to the dealer and have them get the correct Key Fob for your truck. When I purchased the Key Fob from the dealer he programed it at no cost. Total was like $75 for two.
