on my 98 all you have to do is hit the switch on the door that turns on the light, hit it once and the bell quits, i'd love to disable my bell also as it goes off everytime my faulty fuel gauge drops to empty

Thumbs down

One of the wires in the little door switch is the dinger. I can't remember which one though. I just cut until dinger stopped. Luckily it was the 1st one I cut

Take the steer column cover off and unplug the two wire connector from the ignition switch.

What Bill said.
There have been several threads on this topic. Does the search function not work? From those threads, I learned to look under the dash and snip a wire. Orange color I think.

I know just the way you worded it cracked me up. I just cut until it stopped you shouldn't be a surgeon that's for sure.

Here is a write up.
