Installing airbags with B&W

I have a B&W hitch in my truck and now am trying to install some ride rite's but the brackets on the bags hit the crossmember of the hitch. It is a 99 2500 2wd ext cab short bed. Anyone else run into this??

Just looking for some options on ways to modify the airbag bracket.

I helped 'Hotdram' measure his brackets so he could cut them to fit around the B&W frame. His is a 02, SB, 2500.
You might PM him about it. He borrowed a special tool from 'XLR8R' at one of our meets...but I'm was not present when the cutting was done!

We notched the top brackets for the airbags using a sawzall and a grinder. I have not completed the install yet .
I will take pictures of the notched bracket tonight if I remember.
I plan to drill through the hitch rails and truck's frame rails. I called B/W about this and they said that was fine. They said the hitch had to be installed before installing the airbags.

well we are gonna work on mine again tonight. I haven't decided if I am going to drill or weld them on yet. I'll let you know how it turns out. If you would go ahead and shoot me the pics you have just so I can see what your plans were.

Rob, Bring it to the meet this weekend! Our president has a 90* drill (if needed) and we can get it installed in no time!
