I need HELP from the stereo guys.....
I'm installing a powered sub in attempt to gain some of the bass I think the OEM stereo should have. That said, the info I've come up with is that I have to tap the sub input into the rear speakers AFTER the amp since I have the Infinity system. So given the fact that the amps are mounted to the two front door speakers, I'm chasing down the rear speaker wires to tap into but I'm not sure where they route. But without completely disassembling the interior of the truck I would be greatly appreciated if someone could help my locate exactly where the rear speaker wires run. Along the door thresholds, along the center of the cab, or where.....?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Yes I do. I just really dont care to take everything out and apart just to locate a few wires. They have to run a specific path.....at least thats what I'd think.
In my truck they go out of the suicide doors through the rubber accordion tube into the rear part of the a-frame. That is where I found mine when I replaced all of speakers and wiring. After they got to the bottom of the a-frame, I am not sure where they go. I was on a rip and replace mission.

Thanks Tallguy67 but what do you mean "a-frame"? I'm not sure where that would be. The both wires running up the center of the body or one wire running along each side or.....
And yeah, I'm sure most of the time everything is abandoned or ripped out which is why you seem to be the only person who has been able to answer my question.

Remove the rear foor panels?
Forgive me if I don't completely understand your question, but just remove the rear door panels?
It's not at all difficult, just some strategic prying is all. You can find tutorials on Youtube.
The thing that comes to mind is whether or not you'll be satisfied just adding a sub to the stock system. I replaced the head unit and all four speakers + added a powered sub under my rear seat. Pretty economical sourcing components online, an afternoon's worth of work, and a substantial effect!

As for adding a sub to the factory stereo..... Yes, I completely understand that I'm not going to get the "best" frequency as if I was utilizing a designated sub out from an aftermarket deck but really I'm not after tons of bass. I've just always thought that the factory system sounded OK but lacked any decent amount of bass. I'm sure most of the bass is absorbed by the engine too but I just thought that adding a self powered sub should give what I'm looking for. If not then no harm because it'll just sit there until I feel like replacing the deck and speakers and will only help even more at that point.

It's been a while since I've been digging back there, but I had the "primo" system from the factory, with amp/tweeters in front doors. The wires either run up high or down low, take out the rear seat to get to them either way, comes out pretty easy (on quad cab).
Now that I think about it though...I think the wires for the front seat belts ran along the rocker panel/door jamb down low, and the speaker wires run with them. Once the seat is out pull ther rear corner trim peice behind the rear door and you can't miss them though.
edit:
Just read tallguy's post, quickest place to check is the rear floor moulding right next to the rear seat.

Thanks again everyone for the help. I found the wires and yes, when they come out the door they do run up the side of the cab.....not down low under the carpet like I thought they would. Now I understand what you meant Tallguy67. You tried to tell me too but for whatever reason I wasn't understanding what you meant.
