3rd gen steering upgrade DONE.
this weekend installed the Mopar #52122362AH steering upgrade that was for 03-09 years. I purchased mine through the local dealership through employee friend. $231.00
everything fit nicely. I kept my own drop pitman arm. its alot bigger than oem and is still bigger than the 98-99 conversion I had on before this. the 98-99 conversion lasted 2 1/2 years the boots were all shot and joints were flexing bad. maybe having 37" tires on the truck accelerated the wear on the 98-99 conversion I can say this 03-09 conversion was half the price of the 98-99. the only thing i did was get a needle grease end and put it under the boots on the joints and added some extra grease they didnt seem like there was alot in there from factory. after install and alignment the truck is back true again very responsive and the wheel is now clocked straight again.

very interested to hear how this works for you i just had the tie rod end stud shear off on my 3rd gen "AE" series setup. no impact and 33" tires on my 3500 SRW it sheared above the ball and about 1/4" below the bottom of the knuckle arm while backing into my driveway.
interesting feed back on the 98-99 HD setup premature wear, i was just thinking about doing that upgrade to mine so could have greasables and so i could get away from dodge's TRE's since my first "AB" series Setup cracked and fell to the gound pulling out of a parking spot 200 miles after dodge installed it and now my more recent "AE" series tie rod setup had less than 20k miles on it and it sheared off. Dodge's recall on the AB series stuff came out a long time after mine broke. I'm lacking a little confidence in dodgge's manufacturer it's not like im going off road. i think id swap sheared off studs for premature wear anyday
