While working on some wiring I inadvertently set my lit Streamlight flashlight, lens down on my center console and it burned a hole through the top. An upholstery shop quoted me 35.00 to recover it but I need to get the cover off first. Anyone know how this comes apart?

 

I looked at this summer...I don't think you could take just the lid off.But if you could I would like to know.You may have to take the whole console in...Its held down with four nuts...below the console..

 

If you remove the plastic side panels and the inner lid liner there is a steel rod that slides out and the lid comes off.

 

So how do you get that inner liner out ?

 

I think there's a screw along the front edge and then gently pry it open with a small screwdriver. Once its off you can slide out the rod. Just keep an eye on the spring around the center so you don't lose it and get it back in right. Kurt
