The stock one is 190. What are you looking for?

i would like to raise my engine running temp.
it seems to run about 165 w/ stock 180 t-stat
i was hoping to get closer to 180 engine temp w/ a 190-200 t-stat

Why do you want it to run hotter?
It's the nature of a diesel engine to run cool unless it's under load.

It could be that your t-stat isn't working correctly and it's sticking partially open.

I also would like a 200 degree t-stat. Even a diesel engine is more efficent at slightly higher temp. Remember cars are running at 220.
