help me make up my mind!!!

Well guys, I have been hittin around the idea of taking the sport front end off my truck and put the old chrome bumper and grill back on with achrome rap-around grill gaurd. I have a guy that wants my sport front end and is willing to come down from michigan to swap bumper for bumper , grill for grill and $200. to boot, I would like to also add chrome rocker panels and get my fenderflares repainted the same color silver as the truck! I also am lifting it a little bit and putting a new wheel combo on it, and putting my 5'' mitered stacks on. My truck is a 97-with a 99+ sport front end on it, these are worth some money and I do like the way it looks on my truck{The color of my truck is not a sport color!} so what do you guys think? leave the sport front end or go with chrome?? My wife wishes I would just leave it alone, but what fun would that be!!lol look in my album for pix and tell me what you think!! its the silver one! thankyou,

If you change that front end I'll come up there and beat you. That truck just looks cool with the sport front end.

Hey you have some cool mods. The OEM tow mirrors, the hood looks cool, I am on the fence about the bumper though. Sometimes the Sport will turn my head when one goes by sometimes they look to dang big, hate to say it almost like ground effects. The chrome breaks up all that giant sea of paint. Maybe try the chrome grill? Never saw a sport bumper and a chrome grill Might be worth trying. You asked Threw in my $.02

Personally I'm a big fan of the sport packages.

Keep the sport package....like the others I cant understand why youd get rid of it for a measly $200....

I have the stainless rockers and hate them...do you like polishing??? Linex your rockers and bed and be done with it

I would do the swap and get a little more money out of him... wouldn't do the chrome grill guard and rockers... just a ranch hand style front bumper.

I'm not a big fan of the sports... they look a little too bubbly to me...

I had the Sport front on my V-10, not on my Cummins. The lighting is much better with the sport, and my wife liked the look better. I think the fog/driving lights worked better further to the corners, too. I looked into a possible swap, but haven't committed the money at all. I will probably do the headlight conversion regardless, just since the lighting is much, much better. Did I say that the Sport lighting is better?!

I ordered the Sport option mostly because of the lighting. I used to like the fact that the whole truck was black. All of the paint, the tires, the wheels, everything. I am getting a little tired of the monochromatic look though. So, I put just the center caps from the factory simulators on the 19.5's and have added a polished ATP bed rail protectors and combo toolbox. I have also purchased a chrome grill that I will add once my front and rear bumpers are done from DOR. The bumpers will be powder coated black as Layne, strongly recommended against the clear finish.

You might look into billet inserts for the grill. I think that would add some sparkle and look cool. Here is a link:
