Anyone replaced there stock second generation headliner?
If so, where didyou find a decent replacement?

Mine isnt in bad bad shape yet. But its sagging a bit on both sides of the OH console.
Also, just day to day dirt and crap has taken its toll.
Im figuring hopefully a somewhat easy swap, making the cab that much more comfortable.

I repaired mine a while back with fabric I got at a fabric shop. 3 yards did it and used scotch 777 spray on glue. Headliner comes out pretty easy but I need to get a better fabric. Need something from an upholstery shop that will stand the sunlight better, this is fading allready because it's not heavy enough and won't hold up to the UV bleaching it out.

 

I replaced mine with one from the dealership parts department. Cost me around $120, fit perfectly, looks like the factory installed it. I hate to get parts at the deal but that one worked well for me...

 

I replaced mine with cloth from an old car parts supply place. Any place that supplies interior stuff like carpet and interior cloth will usually supply headliner material.

One word of warning - try to get the 60" wide material. I originally got the 48" wide stuff and it was about 2" too narrow. The 60" wide stuff does exist but you might have to look around.

I removed the headliner, cleaned all of the sponge off of the fiberboard with a wire brush on a drill and glued on the new one. I was also told NOT to use contact cement to install the headliner as it will eat the foam on some of the material. Use the spray adhesive specifically for headliners.

 

I just replaced mine.

Everything worked great. Affordable, color matched perfectly, and easy to install. (took about 3 hours all together)

Are you regular cab? I've got a MOPAR Parts headliner that the dealership sent me by mistake, then wouldn't take it back. I think I've got about $120 in it, make me an offer if it will work.

It's pretty simple to do, you just have to pull all the side molding out of the truck, then all the little stuff like coat hangers, hand holds, and the OH Console.
