Headlight bulb upgrade anything worthwhile
Ok, if you are looking to do this on the cheap - follow this link:

Get the HD wiring harness. It gives you a full 12V at the bulbs. This combined with better bulbs will give you a whole lot more light. Still not as much light as I would like, and there are likely better options but I did this quick before taking off on vacation and it worked good. And was very easy to install.

Hey Evil will 9007s fit in that harness or are they 9004s like the stock lites , I just ordered 3 harness 2 for my 02 sport and one for my 98 . Thanks again for costing me more money . lol
caper, I seen a 9007 harness after I ordered this.
But, I believe you can use the 9007 if you swap the leads to the bulb and cut a lockeng tab off. Dont quote me on that though. I have an old link bookmarked....Ill try to find it for you. I think its on my laptop.
I covered mine in split loom to hind that ugly yellow sheath.

I don't remember exactly what I had to do with the Dremel tool, but I had a 9007 in my F350 because one of the lenses was fogged up pretty bad.
If you compare 9004 and 9007 you can see what needs to be done.

If you can afford it, the best repaior is to convert to the Sport headlights.
if you can't, then the next best is to polish the lenses to remove the haze on them. The first step for this is to use toothpaste and a buffer. Yeh, that's right, toothpaste. Then, you might want to use some really fine buffing paste to finish the job.

WestTN, I tried buffing several times before buying the haarness. Yes, buffing helped a bit but it does not give you any more voltage to the bulbs. The harness I was talking about has relays and bumps the voltage up to a full 12V - that combined with some better, higher wattage bulbs gives a pretty fair performance increase (at least for me it did)..
