Gauges

I am trying to figure out which gauges(maker) to get for my '97 2500 TCD.
The prices are all over the map. I am doing the basic 3, EG, trans, and fuel.
Can someone give guidance? Thanks

Comes down to how much you want to or have to spend. Auto Meter makes excellent gauges for the budget minded.

look for companies that sell combo set ups. this will save you some money.
I have heard more complaints and issues with glow shift brand. but just have heard and seen on forums with their diesel application gauges.
I like the simplicity of mechanical gauges. not a electrical box/monitor with adapters/sensors plugs etc. Not saying they are a bad thing. Just like the simple factor of mechanical. Auto meter. isspro .
check on this site in the store and send a message to TOP. he will get you a good price and good info.

Sorry I meant Combo packs when they sell them. boost, fuel pressure, egt etc.
I personally dont like the mechanical gauges that will have 2 or more gauges built within one unit. Gauges dont last forever. If you have an issue with one of the gauges the whole unit needs replaced. Not many companies offer a long warranty on gauges.

Rarely do "combo" packs give you the gauges you want, sadly. To bad no one offers a "buy 2+ and get a discount" deal.
I do like that Hewitt dual fuel/boost gauge though.

Thanks to all of you. The links are a great help kawi600.
Cougar, I noticed the same thing, they offer 2 of the 3 I want. I don't hot rod the truck, so I don't need boost gauge. It's a toss up between the Autometer and the ISSPRO's. Costs for all 3 are real close. Will be ordering today. Thanks again.

Have you taken a look at the Edge Insight? That is what I have and I am very happy with it. I have the probes for oil and fuel pressure sitting on the shelf waiting to be added to my Edge systems.

I do not have an Edge performance add-on, just the Insight Gauge unit.
