fuel gauge

my fuel gauge quit about 3 or 4 months ago, where can i find a sending unit(in the tank), and how much?

is it easer to drop te tank or raise the bed up?

ebay. bought one for 60$. drop the tank. dealers might have em as well as they replace the lift pump to the intank unit

i was thinkin about puttin a pusher pump in the tank(to help the lift pump) while i'm doin the fuel gauge. or would i be better off gettin the fass lift pump ?

Dont put the pump in the tank...its much better on the frame rail next to the tank. Get a 1/2" line kit and lift pump relocation kit from these guys:

A FASS is a great option (probably the best) but they are not cheap.

Bought a sending unit at a dealer about a year ago it was $60 plus. Was going to tip the tank but have a 5 th wheel hitch and didn't want to mess with it. I had Pep Boys do it. They charged me $160 to do it. Good luck.

I changed mine about a year ago. I can't remeber how much I spent but it wasn't bad. Make sure that the person is getting you the sending unit and not the whole module thing, they are over $130 if I remeber right. It isn't that hard to drop the tank and do it yourself. I think it took me around an hour, but most of the time was spent trying to get the sending unit off.
