I have a 94 ram 2500 diesel. It has a D60 front axle right? How many splines do the axle shafts have?

Yes. The 94 had a Dana 60 9-3/4" front axle. The axles are 30 Spline, 1.31" diameter (inner) 1.34" (outer).

Did any Dodge trucks come with 35 spline rear D60s or is 35 spline mostly an aftermarket thing? Are 35 spline shafts pretty much a direct replacement besides needing a new carrier?<br><br><br>Thanks,<br><br>Matt

 

To use 35 spline axles you'll need a new carrier to match them. I don't know of any 35 spline D60 axles that came on the front of a dodge.

 

used to live in livonia mich and windsor ont during the 80s, worked as an electrician in a stamping plant untill 90 when everyone got laid off. moved to british columbia and still loving it out here. Check out pic on daulies2 page 3 where I live now.
