Exhaust smell in cab

My 01 quad cab has an exhaust smell in the cab at idle. The exhaust manifold is tight. I put a smoke machine on the truck today and have no leaks. Is the heater picking up the exhaust from the tail pipe? Has anyone else fixed this problem?
Thanks
Eric

yup, it's exhaust coming in through the outside vent... only solution I've come up with is to run the AC on max in the summer and turn the fan off when you're coming to a light in the winter

well... stacks work pretty good too

Are you sure it's exhaust?

Did you recently do an oil change?

Check the cowl seal, it tends to fall down.
It's at the bottom of the windshield, where the hood meets when it's closed.

I'm pretty sure it's exhaust... all of my trucks have done it... even with a good hood seal... it comes in from the cowl.
