Drilling the frame?
I am sure it will be fine....at least I hope so, because I just did the same thing last night
. I drilled and taped for a 5/16 24. I figured the fine thread pitch would be better for the thin frame. I just put a pic up in my gallery tonight of the bracket I built, if you need some ideas

According to the factory service manual it's a no-no to drill in the top or bottom of the frame rails but ok on the sides as long as the holes are at least 1.5" from the top or bottom rails.
They say normal frame flexing can cause the frame to crack if the holes are drilled in the wrong place.

I hate to say it but that truck looks brand new... Were is the dirt?!
It should look new the truck only has 38000 on it
. I drive my VW Golf diesel most of the time so the Dodge should be with me for quite some time, that's the plan anyway. When it gets nice enough to wash the truck without the doors freezing shut. I am going to take some pictures with my new camera and post them
. With the old one everything is a bit grainy and the image is never centered, it is in the viewfinder though. I used the new one for all the fuel system pics and I thought they turned out well.
By the way did you get your truck running last night njoverkill?
