Hello;

The front doors on my truck are getting rusty. I am considering my options.

My truck has manual windows/locks/mirrors. If I go the route of swapping out the doors entirely; what all would I need to do to make the switch to power windows, mirrors, and locks?

Does the wiring harness on my truck have a place somewhere to plug the door wiring harness into?

I am trying to do this as well and am wondering if there is a kit i can get or what is a part of the existing harness that i may be able to plug into. I currently have a 2001 ram 2500 extended cab short box gas v8 (second gen) manual windows and door locks dana 60 on front and dana 60 on rare and also have a beat up 1998 ram 2500 extended cab, long bed Cummins dana 60 front and dana 70 rare with electric windows and doors, and am about to go and try and swap out but figured i would post this to see if anyone has any helpfull info... I will re post once i start pulling apart to update any info i may be able to add.

Johnnyutaw, I'd get the correct doors with the power stuff already in place then figure out the wiring...some trucks later on came with the entire harness in place with just the mechanicals deleted, like mine. Maybe you got lucky with yours...
