Dim Head Light ??
Dim Head Light ??
I did a sport conversion about a year ago with some aftermarket lenses and have been very happy so far. I am running the Hella Off road 9004 and 9007 and have them wired to run all 4 on low and high and all 8 filaments on high.
I noticed today that my driver side outside light (I don't remember if it is the 9004 or 9007 and have not checked b/c it has been raining like crazy here today and that one is a little tough to get to) is dim. It is working but very dim.
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that a sign of a bad ground? It is the same on high and low. I am wondering if it is just in that part of the wiring harness since the other side is not that way.
Thoughts?

Unplug the connector from the bulb and make sure the connector isn't melted around the terminals. Often, if the terminal doesn't fit the pin tightly, the resistance will heat up the connection and melt the plastic. This is especially true if the bulbs are higher wattage than stock.
Also, have a good look at the bulb itself. Sometimes they partially burn out and turn the glass all black but continue to emit a bit of light still.

So I replaced the plug on Sunday and the bulb is already dim again. Going to check the plug again and see if it burnt out already. Anybody know why the plug would have burned out again so quick?
