Dana 60 of 44

Looking to buy ball Joints for the truck, however the parts store needs to know if it has the Dana 44 or 60. What is the tattle tale signs. Is there a tag onthe axle or what.

If it is a CTD, it has the 60, pure and simple.

Only the 1/2 tons got 44's so far as I know, perhaps Gasser 3/4 tons.

Patdaly is right, but to answer your other question, there should be a label on the underside of your hood, listing the axles, trans, transfercase, etc.
