Cruise Control Problems
I have an '01 3500 CTD with auto transmission. The cruise control has stopped working. When I press the on-off button on steering wheel "cruise" light does not illuminate and cruise does not operate. I have looked for a fuse at door post and under the hood, but can't locate one that says anything about cruise control. Does anyone know where it is or any suggestions to what my problem might be?
Thanks

I have a problem similar to yours. Except my light comes on, I press set and you feel the truck take the throttle, then it looses it. I'm taking it into Dodge sometime this week.

Re:Cruise Control Problems
Is your Air bag light on? Dodge has been notorious for having the clock spring,(the doohicky that connects the air bag module to the steering column, allows for the back and forth movement of the wheel) Unfortunately, when the clock spring breaks or fails, the cruise goes with it. I don't know if this is your problem. But I've seen a few dew it 8)

I had my cruise go out about a year ago. I took it in and had to have the column rewired. Apparently using the tilt steering broke the wires. It was to the point that every time I used the tilt, the horn honked.

When mine went out the cruise light would light but no cruise.
The guys on the TDR steered me to the vacuum line running under the drivers side battery into the speed control servo. It was pulled off from the nipple. Slid it back on and had cruise control again.

This may be out of your realm of problem, but I do know that the batteries are infamous for leaking or boiling over battery acid onto the cruisel control vacum line. I think may actually be BigBlues cruise problem. Just tryin to help
