Geno's has that same thing for quite a bit less. At least I think it's the same thing???
I know Geno's is owned by a competitor's site. I don't want to step on any toes! I checked our store first. Admin, please feel free to delete my post if so. Just trying to save some DTR members some cash.

Add me as well. Have managed to "dodge" most bullets offered with this truck, i.e, death wobble, massive front end problems and have not "dodged others, fuel pump, injection pump....40k mile dead intank pump and now after about 2 months of noticing my first crack this thing looks like a herd of elephants has run across it.
So, looks like it's $350 gone before I get it to replace yet another faulty piece of junk on this truck. $350 I would much rather spend on tools for my business, fuel to run down bids, but nope.
UPDATE: Called Chrysler complaints,

I have spent a large sum of money on this truck this year with the clutch going out, the intank pump and now the dash. Told them I read this thread with 15 pages of people and that I wanted to complain on record. I rarely if ever have seen a dash go like this is what I told them. Just wanted to complain about it, make it known as I figured nothing would come about it anyhow but the $500 I'll be out in parts(pad and bezel) was the straw that broke the camel's back. I would love to replace a cheap ball joint or u-joint, what a welcome repair that would be, $80 ball joint, heck yeah.

It is $329 today. Dash caps can be had for $149. That is not what we are discussing. I'd buy it for $149.

I'm going to try the cap and an adhesive. Sorry for the confusion.
I don't want the cap because I've seen them buckle when installed on other cars. The Ram dash isn't solid & will come apart in chunks. You'd be gluing (rtv-ing) the cap to floating dash pieces. Perhaps it would work long term - perhaps not. I have to pull the dash for a heater core so might as well do the dash.
edit: sorry about the group buy conversation. Will instigate that elsewhere. Thought it would be an easy way for a vendor to make a quick hit copying WallyWorld's model - small profit on more transactions.
That was post 177, August 2009. Now at 148K, my dash is almost ready to shed it first significant chunk (8"x12" I would guess). It will rattle and creak when I go down the road. Going to order the overlay kit sometime soon. The truck is starting to rust and will be relegated to Farm, Hauling only duty within the next 3 years.
I have seen these things go bad before and am only trying to prevent that from happening here to you folks.
The dash "cap" just makes it "look" better.....you'll still sound like chity chity bang bang going down the road and wind up w/the dash eventually in your lap after crossing that last set of R&R tracks.....I still have the crappy cap and I don't know how much longer I'll be able to stand it. YMMV
