What is involved to install the dash?

2002 3500.Just discovered today that its cracking from the center defroster vent back.161,111 miles.

 

Mine started about a month ago, I think. It could have been there longer. Its a work truck. I just Jb welded a tab across it and drilled a hole at top of crack. See if this works. '99 4X4 270,000 miles. Lynn

 

01 with 138 k just found two cracks 2/20/2010 guess i been luckiiiii

 

97 w/130k, dash cracked, started about 110k

 

i got a 95 1 ton bought in 07 at 225,000 already cracked real bad several pieces and now a hole in it

 

my 97 reg cab has 151k on it no cracks
my 97 ext. cab has 155k cracked bad. like that when i bought it

 

My 99 1500 had multiple cracks at 40,000 miles. My 01 had multiple cracks when I got it 3 years ago at just over 100,000. I test drove a new Challenger This past Sunday. I pointed at that dash and said I will wait. ARE YOU LISTENING MR CHRYSLER??? DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I JUST SAID?? DO YOU BELIEVE ME? In 1974 my Dad bought a new Dart. It leaked water on the drivers feet from day one. The windows fell out of it. The right front shock came loose at the top. It took a long time for me as an adult to even consider buying a Dodge. I did because I liked the way it looked. Kind of like a woman...I liked the way she looked but I couldnt live with her.

You're lucky, the dash in my 95 is cracked 5 places. Made it easy to install my Sirius radio and the wiring for my gauges though, the left corner just pulls out!

 

lol never thought i would be here on this thread but i forgot to crack the windows yesterday and wouldnt ya know............ 144k miles and i am now in the cracked dash club....lol still tryin to get out of the last club....death wobble.....lol

 

Yesterday, not a single crack anywhere - got in it this morning and surprise, now I have a two piece dash, one big crack all the way up the middle.

 

My 01 (in my sig) was cracked when I bought it at 142K. I replaced it at my own expense. My 97 Ram started cracking at 120K, now is in chunks.

 

mine is cracked, bad vp 44, bad lift pump, marginal clutch every thing on your truck will go bad at some point...........the solution ------ fix it or sell the truck

 

Mine starting cracking about 120,XXX. I am at 130,000 now and am starting to see all of the front suspension problems. My truck only sees the pavement except the occassional trip to the cabin which is still a well maintained gravel road. Knock on wood still running the stock fuel pumps and drive it like i stole it alot of the time.
